Four Arrested After Illegal Gaming Casino Is Found
Illegal gaming casinos are becoming a norm in the world. It is evident that the casino industry is a thriving industry, and lots of people are trying their best to take a slice from tasty casino cake.
Report shows that in the past three years, they been a 12 per cent rise in the number of illegal gaming casinos in the US. This is a visible contrast to the 5 per cent rise in the preceding five years.
It is no surprise that every now and then raids on illegal gaming casinos becoming rampant in the news.
The latest addition to the record is the folks who were operating an illegal casino joint at 203 E. California Ave unbeknownst to police. The crackdown by the police led to the arrest of four people.
A Routine Check Leads To A Major Crackdown
Officers of the Bakersfield Police Department were carrying out a routine check on a building at around 12:40 am, when they came across an illegal casino outlet.
They quickly detained the occupants of the building. On searching the suspects, the officers found a loaded firearm with the serial number scratched off, with a 22-year-old Sergio Lopez. He was later arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms illegally.
The three other suspects arrested include Crystal Nieves 21, Freddy Piedra, 37, and Candace Deluna 32. They were arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale, having an outstanding felony probation violation warrant and possessing heroin for sales respectively
Officers also found a slot machine, firearms, and cash in the building.
