Online Casinos Genting Group Gets Bob Desalvio To Chair New York Faction
Renowned gaming powerhouse, Genting Group has been in the market for a new leader to handle operations in New York. It seems the group has finally found its answers. Genting Group announced on at the start of the week that veteran casino executive Bob DeSalvio will be in charge of the new York Axis of the company.
DeSalvio is not new in the business. He brings vast experience and knowledge to the Genting Group having overseen the development of the $2.6 billion Encore Boston Harbor for Wynn Resorts (which holds the record of being the most significant development project in the history of Massachusetts).
His new role would see him preside over operations at Resorts World Casino, and Resort World Catskills in New York.
“Bob DeSalvio has a proven track record creating and implementing successful marketing and growth strategies in the gaming and hospitality industries,” said Genting Group Chairman and CEO Tan Sri KT Lim in a statement. “Bob’s operational expertise, combined with his unique ability to recognize industry trends and adapt to fast-evolving consumer demands, will help accelerate growth at Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World Casino, New York City.”
Getting To Work
DeSalvio will hit the ground running as soon as Resorts World New York completes its 400 hotel room project on the casino site. The hotel will be officially opened sometime next year. Resort World currently boasts of 6000 slots and electronic table.
Before working for Resort Worlds, DeSalvio worked for Wynn and the Las Vegas Sands Corp.
DeSalvio said in a statement that Resort World represents the future of gaming.

Resort World hopes this move will help it’s New York branch turn a profit.
