Hollywood Casino opening Summer Is The Proposed Date For Casino Opening
Gamblers could be treated to a feast this summer at York County. Hollywood Casino is bringing its opening night ahead of schedule. The casino is making plans to open in August, pending customary from the regulatory bodies.
In preparation for opening night, the casino is looking for employees to work at a mini-casino to help garner experience. The mini-casino will be at York Galleria in Springettsbury Township.
The company has started collecting applications for different jobs in the casino. A special career center has been opened to this effect. The center is accessible all work days from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.

“We are thrilled to begin accepting applications from residents of York County and neighboring communities,” Erin Chamberlin, senior vice president of Regional Operations for Penn National said “We look forward to interviewing candidates for the vast array of jobs that will be made available in advance of our expected grand opening in August.”
The development will require upwards of $100 million. The completion of the project will include table games, slot machines and so much.
Opening Date Rescheduled
Construction is currently on going for the new casino. The mega structure was originally scheduled to open in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic altered the timetable. Because of the economic challenges, the casino decided to halt construction plans and save money.
The opening plans were rescheduled for later this year, with the agreed date falling on August. The casino will be located at the former Sears store at the mall.
Big Attractions
The casino is expected to attract customers clients from various parts of the region. Players from Maryland and Pennsylvania are expected to grace the 80,000-square-foot casino.
The casino will house 20 table games, 500 slot machines for a start. The number of slots and table games is expected to double as allowed by law. The casino will have restaurant, sports book, lounge, entertainment area, bar and so on.
