As one of the most recognized names in Las Vegas history, El Cortez Hotel & Casino is announcing the completion of a mega renovation project to mark its 80th anniversary this year.
Established in 1941, El Cortez is one of the oldest casinos in Las Vegas. As a way of preserving the casino’s rich history, the team behind the renovation has made sure to preserve the casino’s integrity and history. The renovation is a blend of modern-day architecture while keeping the traditional heritage that has charmed visitors for close to a century.
Part of the renovation plans includes revamping the casino include; new ceilings, exquisite carpet flooring, and lots more. The unique decoration is spanning close to 45,000 square feet. The carpet flooring and ceiling give the casino a unique look that is visually appealing and very eye-catching.
“For many people, some of their best days in Vegas were spent at El Cortez, so there is a strong attachment, not only to our staff but also to everything inside the hotel that makes it unique,” said General Manager Adam Weisberg. “That includes our famous carpet, which has played host to so many unforgettable memories. We are constantly balancing the preservation of Las Vegas history with upgrading to provide world-class style and comfort, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
