Casino Undergoes Overhaul Following Ease on Gaming Laws
The Billionaire Casino is opening its doors following an extensive overhaul and revamp of the VIP gaming space. The top-level casino in Kiev is located at the five-star InterContinental Kiev. The recent revamp includes the addition of glamorous table games manufactured by Abbiati Casino Equipment. The table games in question are some of the best ever manufactured. The casino has requested for 14 table games and roulette wheels.
The Casino opened its doors for gaming. The introduction of the stylish mahogany tables and roulette wheels add an extra bit of style to the casino. The dimensions of the casino is roughly 5,000 square feet.
“We manufacture our handcrafted products at our facility in Italy, paying a lot of attention in choosing the highest quality raw materials,” said Giorgio Abbiati, owner of Abbiati Casino Equipment. “The Billionaire knows very well how we work, and it couldn’t choose anyone else for their casino, located in such an elegant building.”
Ukraine Welcomes Back Gambling
In 2009, the Ukrainian government led by then-President Viktor Yushchenko banned casinos after a fire incident in Dnipro that led to the death of nine people. President Viktor placed a nationwide ban on physical and online gambling.
However, last year, President Volodymyr Zelensky uplifted the ban. President Zelensky authorized the “State Regulation of Organizing and Conducting Gambling” act in July of 2020.
The act gave casinos the chance to reapply for gaming permissions and licenses on the condition that they meet a number of criteria. One of such criterion is that any casino operations is not controlled by a Russian citizen, resident or business owners. The casino operation has no major shareholder in any organization with Russian heritage. Other blacklisted countries are Iran and North Korea.
Hotel casino licenses cost around $4.5 million for places within the state capital, and $3 million for places outside the state capital.
Casinos work closely with the government in terms of administration and revenue. Casinos share around 12.5 percent of their table games and slot machine revenue with the government.
US warns citizens from traveling to Ukraine

“The United States remains dedicated to assisting Ukraine to advance its Euro-Atlantic aspirations in support of a secure, prosperous, democratic, and free Ukraine,” the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs said last week.
