Paradise Co Casino Casino revenue increase 16% in June
Paradise Co Ltd, has experienced a revenue boost. The casino operator is a foreigner-only casino located in South Korea. The casino experienced an increase of 16 percent month-on-month in June. The casino revenue for the month of June was just above $14 million (KRW16 billion) versus $11 million (KRW13.83 billion) in May. The figure for May was a 6 percent drop on the value recorded in April.
There was noticeable increase in various areas of the casinos. Table revenue rose 16 percent month-on-month in June. The table revenue rose from $9 million in May, to $11 million in June. On a year on year basis, table revenue for June increased by around 14 percent from what was achieved in June last year.
Machine revenue was up by roughly 13 percent from what was generated in May. The figures for May was just around $1.7 million, and that of June was around $2 million. The machine revenue for June in 2021 was up by 27 percent on the nearly $1.2 million in June 2020.
Overall casino revenue for the six months of 2021 was $97 million, down 45 percent from last year’s number which was around $178 million in the same period of 2020.
Table revenue for the first half saw a drop of 47 percent. The number dropped from $166 million in 2020 to $87 million in 2021.
Machine revenue was down by 16.5 percent in the first six months of 2021.
Table drop (which indicates the amount of cash exchanged for chips by customers at the table) increased by more than 43 percent month-on-month in June.
Paradise City pushes reopening night amid covid-19 scare
A recent wave of Covid-19 cases in South Korea has pushed back reopening night for Paradise City. The recent uptick in coronavirus cases in Incheon, Seoul and other neighboring areas means public areas have to close their doors.
